ACF co-signs letter to the Chancellor

ACF has joined with other voluntary sector bodies in writing to the Chancellor Phillip Hammond ahead of the Autumn Budget. The letter, signed by eight others including ACEVO and NCVO, asks:

  • That the £2 billion from dormant assets identified through the Dormant Assets Commission (2017) and National Fund should be designated for strategic, long-term investment in civil society organisations. This should support thriving and resilient communities and should be accessible to small charities.
  • That part of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) should be ring-fenced for a successor programme to the European Social Fund (ESF). This should be comparable to the levels of ESF funding the UK currently receives.
