ACF Chief Executive Carol Mack receives OBE in New Year’s Honours List

ACF’s Chief Executive, Carol Mack, has been awarded an OBE for services to charity in the Queen’s New Year honours list 2021.

Carol joined the Association of Charitable Foundations (ACF) as the organisation’s first ever Membership Services Manager in 2004 and was appointed to the role of Chief Executive in 2016, having served for many years as the Deputy Chief Executive.

Splitting her time between Barry, South Wales, and London, Carol chairs the Wales Funders Forum and the Match Trading Task Force, is a trustee of National Emergencies Trust and member of the Big Society Capital advisory board.  She has also served as Vice Chair of Tree Aid, and as a member of the Audit Committee and Funding Panel of Victim Support.

Carol Mack said: “I was surprised and thrilled to receive the news, which reflects the outstanding work of my colleagues at the Association of Charitable Foundations. I cannot thank our amazing staff and trustees enough for everything they do to support foundations to be ambitious and effective in the way that they use their resources for social good.

“Our members have truly stepped up to the plate in their response to this awful pandemic and I see this award as a reflection of the importance of the role that foundations play in supporting civil society. They are at the front and centre of all that we do at ACF and I am so grateful to them for their support.”
