Small Funders network meeting
A GDPR CATCH UP- GDPR implementation and Small Funders Networking Opportunity
- Rachel Oglethorpe Idlewild Trust/Peter Minet Trust
- Fiona Murray Trafford Youth Trust
Barbra Mazur, Battersea Power Station Foundation; Emma Hutchins, ACF.
As you are no doubt aware, GDPR comes into force on 25 May 2018. Although not a radical departure from the current Data Protection Act, GDPR includes some important changes in the rules about how data may be legally handled and in the responsibilities of organisations.
The ACF has been offering a range of ways foundations can learn more about GDPR, but this meeting will be an opportunity for smaller funders to hear how one (small) foundation with a small team has taken steps to be prepared for the change in regulation. This is also a chance for Emma Hutchins from ACF to share latest up-dates and advice on how to be compliant with GDPR, and a chance to catch up on how to be compliant with GDPR. As the deadline approaches, this session offers the opportunity to compare notes on how different small trusts are implementing the changes. There will also be time for general networking with other small funders.
A light lunch will be served at 1pm with an opportunity for networking with colleagues.
