Researchers, impact assessors and evaluators have unprecedented access to sometimes confidential, occasionally controversial and often deeply individual accounts of change. Couple this with supporter and donor data, and trusts and foundations are in possession of an extremely valuable bank of personal information. How trusts and foundations manage this data and protect it is changing in May 2018, with the arrival of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This session will unpack the requirements of GDPR for funders in monitoring and evaluating their work.
