Acting on the climate crisis – launch of a resource pack for funders
One of the barriers to giving to climate causes is the sense of overwhelm – that the area is too confusing, and the problems seem too large and intractable for funding to make any difference. To help overcome this barrier, we have pulled together a compilation of key climate resources into a single document for funders, especially foundations that are new to climate change. We will be launching Acting on the climate crisis – why, how and the role of philanthropy: a resource pack for funders with the Environmental Funders Network (EFN).
ACF's Chief Executive Carol Mack will provide an introduction to the resource pack and the Funder Commitment on Climate Change. We will then hear from Jessamy Gould, Director of Treebeard Trust and Daniela Lloyd-Williams, Director of the JAC Trust on why they signed the Funder Commitment and how they have incorporated climate change into their work. This will be followed by a panel discussion with time for questions from the audience.
