The Dormywood Trust is a newly established family Charitable Trust established to allocate small grant funding to grassroots work in the community. We are a UK-wide charity with current priority areas focused on food poverty, sexual violence, environmental work and empowering children and young people though creativity.
As a trust we are passionate about alleviating poverty, funding new ways of offering education, supporting the mental health and well being of individuals and communities, challenging sexual violence, advocating for social justice and promoting environmental consciousness and sustainability. We want to know that our grants have enabled charities, community groups and social enterprises to make a real difference to the lives of people in their communities. Our aims are to support organisations with smaller grants for specific work.
There are 2 trustee positions available and we are looking for people with energy and enthusiasm to join us at this exciting time in our development as a Charitable Foundation.
We would especially welcome applications from anyone over 18 with:
- an interest and experience in any of our priority areas
- experience of working on or with trustee boards
