This role is a unique opportunity to join the Joffe Trust’s small staff team.

The Joffe Trust is a highly strategic grant-maker. We were founded by Joel and Vanetta Joffe in 1968, and continue to build on Joel’s remarkable legacy. We are now the UK’s most specialised funder of work on tax justice and fighting corruption. We also have a particular niche in supporting small non-profits to become stronger organisations. More details:

The core responsibility of this role is to manage the Trust’s day-to-day operations, including grant-making. We keep our systems light touch and professional, in line with our values. There is also scope to get involved in any aspect of the Trust’s work. The position could be a great entry point into the world of grant-making and philanthropy.

The vacancy has arisen as our long-standing colleague is retiring from the Trust in May 2021. By the end of 2021, we expect to identify goals for the Trust over the next ten year period. After that, we will determine our staffing requirements for the future. This position may become a permanent role at that point.

The Trust currently only employs two staff: the Director and this Trust Manager role. The role will involve working closely with the Director on all areas of the Trust’s work. We can take a flexible approach to making the practicalities work for the right candidate. We welcome applications from people from a wide range of social and ethnic backgrounds
