There are up to 6 Trustee meetings each year. Usually a Trustee also serves on one of the committees: Finance, Grants, HR & Property (4 meetings a year). Trustees can expect to be involved in a range of activities, including:
- · Setting and maintaining vision, mission, and values
- · Ensuring RPLC is legally compliant and accountable
- · Having responsibility for the financial oversight of the Charity
- · Supporting RPLC’s operational management
RPLC distributed over £1.7m in grants in the last financial year to 30 June 2020. The Charity also has significant property assets alongside its financial investments. Annual Reports and Reports on Activities are posted on the RPLC website.
Having a board that reflects the diversity of the communities that we seek to serve is important. RPLC is specifically looking for Trustees with experience of grant-making or working directly with the Charity's beneficiaries i.e. disadvantaged young people, families in hardship, charities, community groups and schools. RPLC positively encourages applications from people from BAME backgrounds, and local service users.
Further information may be obtained from RPLC's website. Interviews will take place, subject to C-19 restrictions, from the 9th November.
