Walton on Thames Charity is a well-established, place-based charity working in the Borough of Elmbridge. Our vision is for a fairer local community where we are all valued and have the opportunity of a decent quality of life. We have a portfolio of land and investments which enable us to operate almshouses and allotments and make grants for community organisations and individuals.

Walton Charity is keen to take on a leadership role to raise the awareness of poverty and inequality locally and  to enable the voices and experiences of people living in poverty locally and the organisations who support them to be heard.   This post will play a critical role in helping us do this.

We are looking for an experienced research, policy or communications professional  who can take a proactive role in expanding our policy and communications work, as well as support the ongoing development of our evaluation work.  This would suit someone from a charity background who has a track record of campaigning to a wide range of audiences.  The post-holder will work closely with our Corporate Partnerships Manager, who leads on our corporate partnerships, branding and publicising the services we provide.

This is a flexible, part-time role, based in our offices in the centre of Walton on Thames. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a big difference in a small, friendly team.
