About the role

The Policy and Communications Intern will work closely with the Senior Policy and Communications Officer to support the day-to-day running of the policy and communications functions. The role is varied in scope and the successful candidate will be someone willing and able to turn their hand to distinct tasks including (but not limited to): conduct background research, analyzing reports, suggesting social media content, copywriting, proofreading, arranging meetings, taking notes, etc. The intern may also perform tasks in other functions such as membership or events, as appropriate. Please note the role is for a term of 3 months.

About the person

The intern will be a team player able to add value to all aspects of ACF’s policy and communications work, including having a basic awareness of what trusts and foundations do. They will need to demonstrate strong skills in writing, communicating, research, and analysis, as well as being up to date with current affairs and being curious as to how they affect trusts and foundations and the wider charity sector. They will be able to show initiative and spot opportunities for ACF, and be confident in sharing those with other staff members. Importantly, they will need to enjoy the varied nature of the role and the animated working environment.
