The think-tank and charity British Future is seeking to recruit an Office Manager/Executive Assistant. This is a permanent role – we are also recruiting for someone to fill this position temporarily until a permanent staff member is appointed – see here for the temporary role).

British Future is an independent and non-partisan think-tank which seeks to engage people on issues of identity and integration, immigration and opportunity. Our aim is to contribute to a society which is confident and welcoming, inclusive and fair to all.

Joining a small and dedicated team, you will be responsible for the effective management of the office which involves lead responsibility for office systems and procedures with responsibilities across finance, governance, HR, grants management, events, and executive support.

You will manage the communication and information flow between the Director and stakeholders, responding directly to enquiries and managing the Director’s diary. You will need to minute meetings and organise events, training courses and travel arrangements.
With significant experience as an Office Manager or EA/PA at the senior level, you will be a confident and discreet professional with demonstrable experience in office management and senior administration and confidence in dealing with finances and budgets. You will have experience facilitating all aspects of Board level meetings, liaising with various internal and external contacts and stakeholders and prioritising busy workloads. With exceptional communication and interpersonal skills you will have strong IT proficiency and a commitment to social inclusion and fairness.

Working Hours: Full time, Monday – Friday, 10am – 6pm. Generally core office hours are fixed but we would be willing to negotiate flexibility. Out-of-hours work is required from time-to-time.
