Carers Trust is the largest UK wide charity for the nation’s 7 million unpaid carers. Together with our Network Partners, we provide support, information, advice and services for children, young people and adults caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend.
About the job
We are recruiting a new post of Grants & Programmes Officer to join the established and thriving Grants & Programmes Team, who lead on grant making and programme activities with Network Partners (independent carers charities) and those interested in developing support and effective approaches for carers across the UK. The team strives to positively impact the lives of thousands of unpaid carers every year via our direct grants offer to individual carers and the development of services and programmes that are led by and focused on enhancing the ability of carers to engage in society.
The Grants & Programmes Officer will take a lead role in coordinating the delivery of our programmes supporting carers of all ages and the communication activities around that. The post holder will also coordinate the breadth of the grant assessment process as well as be a data champion, ensuring that quantitative data is accurate, timely and useful to inform the wider work of the organisation.
The successful candidate will have experience in coordinating high volume, complex programmes and excellent organisational skills. They will also have strong communication skills, particularly in drafting accessible materials, alongside strong IT skills.
