The Mercers’ Company is the Premier Livery Company of the City of London with a 700 year history and over 400 members. The Company’s core purpose is Philanthropy and funds its activities from its investments, mainly property in London’s West End and the City.

The Company is seeking to appoint a Grants Operations and Evaluation Officer.  This is a new post working with the Philanthropy team to develop and implement grant making and management systems and processes.  The role will become the ‘go to’ person for developing the Gifts database to its full potential and for making, monitoring and managing grants, from application to completion and providing an effective interface with other key stakeholders internally.

The successful candidate will have strong experience from grant making or systems management, experience of using databases and ability to manage projects, numerate and confident in building effective relationships.
