Established in 2017, the CareTech Charitable Foundation is an independent grant-making corporate foundation registered with the Charity Commission. Funded and founded by CareTech plc, the Foundation has an independent Board of trustees responsible for delivering its Charitable Objects. The Foundation has ambitious and clear-sighted objectives to deliver meaningful impact to communities in the UK and overseas, providing a unique contribution to the charitable marketplace.
The CareTech Charitable Foundation’s work is focused on the following three key objectives:

The Foundation has embarked on a series of high-profile partnerships with Barnardo’s, the British Asian Trust, EY Foundation and others, as well as delivering three small grants programmes which are increasingly popular and delivering exciting impact in local communities. The Foundation is increasingly recognised as a market leader in the social care sector, contributing to key social issues.
We are looking for an experienced Foundation Manager to manage a diverse portfolio of projects that align with the Foundation’s strategic objectives. Part of a small team, you will report into the Chief Executive Officer and have line management responsibility for our Grants Officer.
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced manager and team player. You will drive the Foundation’s grant giving strategy and assist applicants through the process. You will liaise with a range of stakeholders and beneficiaries to develop and strengthen engagement with the Foundation. You will be comfortable dealing with senior leaders across CareTech PLC and the Foundation’s trustees as well as external stakeholders in the charitable sector and beyond; equally, you will be able to forge strong relationships with staff across CareTech PLC to promote the Foundation and engage staff in our work.
You will be adept at managing long-term partnerships, building strong relationships with grant recipients whilst at the same time ensuring that programmes are being delivered well and in line with agreed targets. You will understand key principles around impact assessment and monitoring, with the interpersonal skills to hold partners to account.
We are looking for someone with financial management experience, strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
