We are looking for an outstanding leader to work closely with the Trustees to build and deliver a clear long term plan that meets the Foundation’s charitable objects and strategic ambitions.
The role will work with communities in the Foundation’s area of benefit, key stakeholders, and new partners to develop a collaborative plan to improve the area of benefit and the lives of people within it. The role will need to lead on research and evidence assessment, strategic planning, stakeholder management and influencing, advocacy, and development of grant programmes to meet the Foundations objects.
However, in the early years, this role will also need to be able to adopt a hands on and very operational approach as the staff team will be small. This will include managing all aspects of the charity including finances, marketing and social media, secretariat of the Board and company secretary. It will also include assessment and processing of the grant programmes if extra staff resource is required at peak times.
- Line management of a small team, to be appointed by the successful candidate. This could, for example include a Grants Manager and or Administration services (either internal or external).
- Annual grant making budget ~£1m, rising to £5m+ in the medium term
