Charity Operations Officer

St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity

Location Central London

Position Full time 35 hours per week

Salary £30,000 to £35,000

Main duties and responsibilities 

Governance

  • Diary management and assistance for the Charity Director
  • Coordinating internal meetings, including the Team Away Day within our regular cycle
  • Acting as secretary to the Trustee Board, including servicing meetings and the annual Away Day
  • Developing and maintaining effective internal communication channels

Finance & HR

  • Generating reports from our finance provider to enable team members to report effectively on our activities
  • Supporting the HR processes of the organisation alongside our external HR provider
  • Manage the grants budget and ensuring that the VRF team have access to enough funds to maintain the planned grant expenditure

Charity operations

  • Establishing and maintaining effective office systems
  • Managing our IT issues through working closely with our IT support service
  • Acting as first point of contact for general telephone calls and emails into the Charity
  • Managing queries from the wider SMITF organisation
  • Dealing with facilities issues (telephones, accommodation)
  • Undertaking small ad hoc projects to support the organisation
  • Support to the team with event and travel logisticsPerson specification

  • Committed to the objectives of the organisation, ideally with experience of working in the charity sector?
