We are looking for a Grants Manager with a passion for tackling social disadvantage and complex needs, particularly as it relates to women and girls. Working in a small team, the post holder will have primary responsibility for the Pilgrim Trust’s Social Welfare programme and oversee the Trust’s grant-making operation. They will also have the opportunity to influence the future strategy and policies of the Trust.

Local Trust is seeking a new Researcher to join the Local Trust Research and Learning team. The researcher delivers an ambitious programme of direct and commissioned research and supports the head of research and learning in ensuring the effective evaluation of the Big Local programme. You will also support the sharing and dissemination of learning arising from research and evaluation to a diverse range of external audiences.
Salary Board member roles are unremunerated but expenses are paid such as childcare and travel in order to support attendance at board meetings.

The Sir Halley Stewart Trust (www.sirhalleystewart.org.uk) is a grant-making charity that awards circa £1,000,000 per year to innovative research and development projects in the medical, social and religious fields. The focus of the Trust’s work is the prevention of human suffering and distress, both in the UK and overseas.
The Trustee Board is comprised of specialists in the Trust’s fields of interest as well as a number of direct descendants of the founder, the pioneering industrialist and philanthropist Sir Halley Stewart.
The Trust is now seeking two exceptional individuals to join the Board. Our current Honorary Treasurer will be retiring from the Board in summer 2020 and we are seeking their replacement. We are also taking this opportunity to recruit an additional Finance Trustee.
