Kate Rogers, Head of Sustainability
Kate specialises in investment on behalf of charities, endowments and foundations and has over 20 years of experience, with 15 years at Schroders and Cazenove. She is a CFA charterholder and has a BSc (Hons) in Natural Sciences from the University of Durham, is Chair of her local community foundation, Vice-Chair of her local primary school and Chair of the Finance Committee of the Cripplegate Foundation. She won a Women in Investment Award for her work with the Charity Commission and FCA creating a new charity investment vehicle.
She has researched and co-authored a series of publications on Charity investment best practise including 'For Good and Not For Keeps', which examines sustainable expenditure, ‘Intentional Investing’, which researches how charities can align their investment policy with their aims as an organisation, and more recently ‘Time and Money’, which explores how charities can make the best use of longevity. Kate was chair of the Charity Investors' Group for 12 years, standing down in 2019. In this role she collaborated with CFG and authored a guide to written investment policies. James Brennan, Portfolio Director
James joined from Rathbones where he spent 8 years as an Investment Director and Head of Business Development in the Charity Team.
James has previously worked at a number of firms in charity and university focused roles, is a regular speaker at charity webinars and conferences and has written numerous articles for the charity press.
James is trustee and honorary treasurer of a benevolent charity and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. Email James.
Tom Montagu-Pollock, Co-Head of Charities and Fund Manager
Tom joined Schroders and began his investment career in 2005 after graduating from Newcastle University with a BA (Hons) in Business Management. He is now a Portfolio Director and Team Leader with responsibility for a number of segregated portfolios and clients invested in a Schroder common investment fund, the Charity Multi-Asset Fund and the Charity Responsible Multi-Asset Fund. Tom is a chartered member (FCSI) of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. He has also completed the London Business School Foundation and Endowment Asset Management Course. He is a trustee of the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation.
