Are you an expert in climate resilience? We’re looking for an adviser to join our Programme Committee. We fund work at the intersection between climate change and forced displacement because we recognise that forcibly displaced people are particularly hard hit by the climate crisis. We are looking for someone with sound knowledge of the context to help help us refine our funding programme and identify inspiring and effective organisations to fund.

Job Description
We are an endowed family Foundation distributing around £450k in grants every year. Our objective is to increase the climate resilience of forcibly displaced people and their host communities, while promoting environmental recovery and protection. We also help those at acute risk of displacement. The Programme Committee is central to the work of JAC Trust. It has five members, meets six times a year and its core responsibilities are to: • refine the funding strategy • establish and oversee the grants process • assess all applications to JAC Trust and make recommendations for funding • review all monitoring and grant reports We want someone to provide: a) advice and offer comment on grant applications. b) expertise on the interrelationship between climate change and forced displacement and insights into the ecosystem of organisations that operate in this space. c) advice on how JAC Trust may best support efforts to increase the climate resilience of forcibly displaced people, their hosts and those at acute risk of displacement.
