Summary
This is an exciting time to join ACF as treasurer, as we launched our new strategy in January 2023. Our vision for our sector is one of diverse, vibrant and effective foundations, working together for social and/or environmental good. Over the next five years we will support foundations to aspire to and achieve excellent practice; advance diversity, equity and inclusion for our sector and for ACF; strengthen connections across and beyond our sector; and sustain a landscape where foundations can thrive. Job Description
The treasurer will oversee the financial matters of the charity in line with good practice and in accordance with the governing document and legal requirements, and report to the board of trustees at regular intervals about the financial health of the organisation. The treasurer will work with the executive to ensure that effective financial measures, controls and procedures are put in place, and are appropriate for the charity. In order to be eligible to serve as a trustee, the treasurer must have a current association (trustee, staff member) with a UK foundation that is a member of ACF. The time commitment is an estimated four hours per month, although this will be condensed around meetings. The length of term is three years, with a maximum of two terms.

ACF is located in London. Currently two board meetings a year are in person
Remuneration
Voluntary and unpaid, although reasonable out of pocket expenses eg for travel or child care may be claimed.
