Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity to for a Research and Data Officer join our organisation to lead on analysis and reporting on the Foundations data, particularly around the our commitments to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). Please note this is a part-time, 3-day per week opportunity on a 12-month maternity cover contract. In line with our hybrid working, you will be expected to work from our London office a minimum of 1 day per week. Paul Hamlyn Foundation (PHF) is one of the largest independent grant-making organisations in the UK. Our work helps people overcome disadvantage and lack of opportunity, so that they can realise their potential and enjoy fulfilling and creative lives. We have a particular interest in supporting young people and a strong belief in the importance of the arts and social justice, which is the golden thread that links all our work. The main responsibilities of this role include leading on the collection, analysis and reporting of diversity data relating to our applicants and funded organisations all with the aim of supporting the our commitment to centre DEI considerations within our grant-making and wider practices. The Research and data Officer will apply audit tools and frameworks to data, manage research, evaluation and learning projects, and support the publication of 360 Giving data to meet our transparency agreements. To be successful in this role, you'll be comfortable using complex databases, have excellent analytical skills as well as a good understanding of the considerations needed when designing, collating and sharing different types of data. You will ideally have both quantitative and qualitative research abilities to bring to the role, have great copy writing skills and be proficient in MS Office packages. We are a small family Foundation made up of interconnected teams and will need to be able to work collaboratively .
