Job Description
The Barnardo's Foundation is an exciting and innovative approach to investing Barnardo's voluntary funds more strategically, in line with the priorities set out in Barnardo's ambitious 10 year Corporate Strategy (2016-2025) entitled Better outcomes for more children. The Foundation sits within the wider Barnardo's charity tasked with the allocation and oversight of our ‘voluntary funds'. Voluntary funds refers to the income Barnardo's receive through donors (fundraising) and our retail shops, plus any other additional income streams, minus the costs of running these departments. The Foundation's vision is that vulnerable children have improved life chances, through investing in innovative programmes that increase the evidence of our impact and help to drive systems change. This post will work closely with the Foundation Director to promote the Foundation's work within Barnardo's and externally; solicit, assess and manage applications and funded programmes; seek co-investment; evaluate portfolio performance and contribute to building effective and efficient systems of fund and grant management. You will be homebased within an easy travelling distance of London as you will be required to attend regular meetings.
