Violence against women and girls network meeting
Mapping funding into the UK women and girls’ sector, research findings
At the next VAWG meeting we will be discussing the findings from a new research report, which has mapped the UK Women and Girls sector, and its sources of income (sources of charitable and statutory funding have been researched). The Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research at Sheffield Hallam University has undertaken this work and Lorna Dowrick (Research Associate) will be presenting the findings of the research. This meeting will provide an opportunity to consider and debate the research findings. Members of the group will also have time to share information and to catch up. We do hope you can join us for what promises to be an interesting and thought-provoking meeting.
A note on the research: The need for this research project was identified at the ACF VAWG network. Three members of the network Rosa Fund, The National Lottery Community Fund & Esmee Fairbairn Foundation have come together to commission this research.
Convenors:
Louise Telford, Head of grants, Rosa
Louise is one half of Rosa’s Head of Grants. Rosa is a grant making charity that funds grassroots women’s organisations working to make the UK a fairer, safer place for women and girls. Before joining Rosa Louise’s experience included working with four different grant makers, for a small charity and with a range of charities and community groups (from large national charities to small volunteer run organisations). When she is not at work Louise is a trustee of a small charity that works in her local community.
