How to construct compelling data-driven stories

A workshop to equip foundations and grant-making organisations to tell data-driven stories about their work and the work of grantees and partners, and the impact it has. It is suitable for all grant making organisations, but will be of most use to those that are considering how to use data to achieve their strategic aims.

In order to leave the workshop with a ready-to-go story, please consider the below in advance :

1 - What data do you hold?
2 - Which stakeholders are you regularly communicating with or trying to influence?
3 - What 'shift' in attitude or action would you like to bring about by communicating with those stakeholders?

Speaker:

Dr James Bowles,  Apteligen

Dr James Bowles is a consultant at Apteligen and supports non-profit organisations to use data to achieve their strategic aims. This encompasses a wide range of activities, from co-creating data strategies to advising on specific areas of data collection and use. He has a PhD from the University of Birmingham which looks at the use of spatial data by non-profit organisations in the UK and has researched and worked with foundations and grant-making organisations of all sizes.
