Cyber security for foundations

Cyber security: What are the risks to your foundation and those you fund, and how can you address them now?

Cyber security is increasingly important for all charities. Incidents of attacks and intentional breaches on the rise and can cause major disruption, financial harm and reputational damage. Foundations, as charities themselves, are at risk, as are their grantees.

We are delighted that a senior representative from the National Cyber Security Centre’s charities team will guide us through the types of cyber risks that charities face, showing how the most common cyber attacks occur and the impact they can have. They will also highlight why this is specifically relevant to foundations, and share top tips on how to:

  • Prevent incidents that affect a foundation’s own operations
  • Respond to in-house incidents
  • Support grantees to consider prevention
  • React when grantees experience incidents

Participants in this event will also hear from ACF members about their approach to cyber security, and have a chance to discuss within small groups how you might respond to scenarios you may face in the future.

This event is suitable to all ACF members regardless of size or remit, and would be of most value to trustees, operational staff and senior managers.

Date: 7 June 2022
