The arts can help to save the planet - An event by London Funders

The arts can help to save the planet
A seminar organised by CCLA Investment Management and London Funders
Clare Cooper, Director and Co-Founder Mission Models Money
7 July, 5.45pm - 7.45pm, British Museum, London

Our focus on financial wealth and material consumption, coupled with rising population, means that as well as triggering global warming we are denuding the planet of key resources at such a rate that it cannot regenerate itself. These challenges require urgent and systemic innovation, says Clare Cooper of Mission Models Money, “a passionate network of thinkers and doers whose vision is to transform the way the arts use their resources”.

A new understanding is emerging of the critical importance of engaging with cultural values in order to overcome resistance to action on these challenges, and with it the realisation of the role that the arts could have in helping to re-activate and strengthen the values we will need. This lecture will explore how engaging with the arts could shape the new social and economic paradigms that will enable us to move to a high wellbeing/low carbon future. Clare will answer questions and debate with the audience after the lecture and the session is followed by a networking reception.

All welcome but booking essential... Book now.
