Event details

This meeting will be an opportunity to explore opportunities and challenges presented by the recently passed Homelessness Reduction Act. Likely to be implemented next year, the act has the potential to transform the way homelessness statutory services are delivered with a new emphasis placed on prevention. The act, however, also creates new responsibilities for Local Authorities, which are already over stretched and under resourced. During the session, we will hear from the speakers about how the act came about, what it is expected to achieve and any anticipated challenges associated with its implementation, with a focus on its potential implications for front-line homelessness organisations and local authorities.
