Comic Relief is looking for a maternity cover to help deliver their grant making strategy mainly, but not exclusively, in two programmes, which support young people affected by Domestic and Sexual Abuse and Refugee and Asylum-seeking Women. Day-to-day, you will be responsible for shortlisting and assessing applications to both programmes and undertaking grant maintenance and management. The J A Clark Charitable Trust are looking for an experienced person to offer expertise to the Women’s Committee of the J.A. Clark Charitable Trust Executive. There may be an option to join the Executive at a later date. In 2007 the Trustees decided to focus on the empowerment of women in the developing world and dedicated two thirds of the budget (£580,000) to the initiative over three years. The projects were led by charismatic local women leaders working in challenging conditions. A new three year cycle has just started with five of the original ten funded projects going forward; two in Pakistan and one each in Afghanistan, Sudan and Israel.

The University of Oxford has over 700 trust funds, many of them substantial. These funds have accumulated over many years, and have arisen largely from donations received from University benefactors, with specific trust funds being created to formalise the donor’s wishes. To assist in the management of these funds, the University has recently agreed to consolidate the way in which its trust funds are managed.
Central to these new arrangements is the establishment of the Trusts Administrator post: under the supervision of the newly constituted Trusts Management Board (TMB), this postholder will be responsible for overseeing the management of these funds. This is a senior post within the central administrative function of the University.
