UK Grants Programme Officer (Maternity Cover) - Comic Relief

Committee Member for the J A Clark Charitable Trust

The J A Clark Charitable Trust are looking for an experienced person to offer expertise to the Women’s Committee of the J.A. Clark Charitable Trust Executive. There may be an option to join the Executive at a later date. 

In 2007 the Trustees decided to focus on the empowerment of women in the developing world and dedicated two thirds of the budget (£580,000) to the initiative over three years.  The projects were led by charismatic local women leaders working in challenging conditions. A new three year cycle has just started with five of the original ten funded projects going forward; two in Pakistan and one each in Afghanistan, Sudan and Israel. 
An external evaluation of the programme states that the Trust’s “venture into the complex area of women’s empowerment programming has been a fruitful one. The programme is relevant and the quality of funding highly prized by partners”.
