Job Description
When a national emergency arises, we act fast to raise funds for those impacted to help with their physical, psychological, and practical needs. Our first appeal, the Coronavirus Appeal raised £100 million for those affected by the pandemic. Outside of emergencies, we work closely with survivors of past disasters, influence government policies, and help to drive positive change in the response and resilience sectors. Being a trustee can be very rewarding. You will have the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of our charity, gain new skills and network with senior professionals, influence key projects and crucially you will have the chance to make a tangible difference to the lives of emergency survivors. The role Our Board of Trustees generously volunteer their time, energy, and expertise, bringing together a diverse wealth of learned and lived experiences to support the National Emergencies Trust in achieving its mission. We’re particularly looking for applicants with skills and experience in at least one of the following areas to complement our existing Trustees. We are especially interested to hear from those with a background in: - Campaign creation and management - Significant experience at board level - Social media & emergent technology - Financial and associated financial services - Fundraising - Public Affairs
